Head CoachJustin Sellar is a fellow in the Athletic Department. A May 2017 graduate of Wheaton College, Justin is pursuing his master's degree in sports management with a concentration in athletic administration from Southern New Hampshire University. In addition to his work in the athletic office, Justin coaches football and hockey. He joined the faculty in 2018.
John Roeser teaches advanced economics and English and coaches JV boys’ basketball and varsity baseball. Prior to his arrival at St. George’s, Roeser worked as a senior policy analyst at AIG in New York’s financial district and as a private practice attorney for firms in New York and New Jersey. Roeser’s primary areas of legal practice included environmental, intellectual property and banking law. Before law school Roeser worked as a teacher at The Pingry School in New Jersey, teaching AP economics and AP government and coaching soccer, basketball and baseball. Roeser holds bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from Duke University in English and history and a juris doctor degree and master’s degree in foreign affairs from the University of Virginia. He clerked for the Honorable Philip S. Carchman and held bar admissions from New Jersey and the District of New Jersey.
Assistant CoachAnthony Franco joined St. George’s School in 2017 and brings with him counseling experience from both independent and public school systems. No stranger to Rhode Island, Franco graduated from Providence College where he earned his bachelor’s degree in political science and then spent eight years working in California schools. Franco was a junior/senior dormitory head and head baseball coach at the Thacher School in Ojai; then an events coordinator and assistant football coach at Francis Parker School in San Diego. Most recently, Franco was a college counselor for the California Student Opportunity and Access Program, a state-funded, non-profit that works specifically with first-generation, college-bound students at local public high schools. He holds a master’s degree in higher education leadership from the University of San Diego. He coaches both baseball and football.
